Intelligence overview

Intelligence gives your teams a portfolio-wide view of your customers, built from the meter data you already send to Eliq. Insights is for the experience your end users see in your app. Intelligence is for your marketing, sales and product teams, who need to find and understand groups of customers. Intelligence is available across Europe, and Eliq sets it up for your organisation during onboarding.

What you get

• Asset detection: which homes have an EV, solar panels, a home battery or electric heating, with estimated figures such as EV charging energy, solar production and self-consumption, and electric versus gas heating use.
• Home profile estimates: whether each location is a house or an apartment, its main heating fuel (and, for electric heating, whether it is a heat pump) and its hot water fuel. Estimates come from the meter data and local weather, and each one has a confidence score. Useful where customers have not filled in a profile themselves.
• Tariff matching: the best-fitting tariff from your own tariff catalogue for each customer, with estimated annual cost and savings.
• Annual consumption for every location.
• Segments: combine these attributes to find groups, for example solar homes without a battery, or EV owners who would save on a time-of-use tariff.

How you access it

• Intelligence portal: a web app to browse, filter and map your portfolio.
• Intelligence API: server-to-server access to filter segments, get map data and run exports. See the Intelligence API reference.
• CSV export: a full segment as a file, from the portal or through an export job in the API.

Results are refreshed every week.

Before you start

• Send locations and meter data through the Data Management API. Asset detection needs at least 3 months of 15, 30 or 60 minute data. Tariff matching needs 12 months.
• Home profile estimates use electricity data, and gas data where you have it. Set each location’s coordinates (geo.latitude and geo.longitude) so Eliq can match local weather.
• For tariff matching, share your tariff catalogue with Eliq.
• Access to the Intelligence portal and API is set up per organisation. Ask hello@eliq.com.

Good to know

• Detections are inferred from consumption patterns, not confirmed installations. Use them to target and prioritise, and confirm with the customer where it matters.
• Each home profile estimate has a confidence score. Portfolio totals take these scores into account, so less common home types such as apartments are not undercounted.
• Eliq processes this data on your behalf as a data processor. Check that your privacy notice covers this use.
